Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are there any medical reasons why I shouldn't use the DermaDeep RF Pro?

There are a few contradictions for people wanting to use the RF Pro:

    • If you have an implanted pacemaker, arrhythmia, or any other known severe heart disorder (flow of electrical energy through the body may damage the pacemaker and cause heart arrhythmias)
    • Have any implantable metal device or body piercing in the treatment area (flow of electrical energy through the implanted metal may heat the object and cause burns)
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • Suffer from autoimmune disorders or uncontrolled diabetes (skin healing in these cases may be impaired)
    • Have any lesions on the treatment area
    • Have blood clotting disorders
    • Use blood thinning medication
    • Are using or have used Isotretinoin within the past 6 months
    • People with visual difficulties should not use the device
  • Can I use it if I have had Profhilo treatment ?

Yes, you can use the RF Pro on Profhilo treated areas. Should you experience any rash/skin reaction other than the redness that we would expect when using the device, stop treatment and consult with expert

  • Can I use it if I have had botox or fillers?

Don't use the RF Pro over/directly on botox or fillers. You can use it on other areas of your face that are untreated with botox or fillers.

  • Can I use it to treat eczema, psoriasis, rosacea or any other skin condition?

Do not use the RF Pro to treat over areas of skin where you might have red skin / enlarged capillaries / moles / lesions / compromised or inflamed skin. If you are in any doubt, please check your specific skin condition with your healthcare practitioner BEFORE using the device.

  • How quickly can I expect results?

From the first treatment you should see some improvements, which will improve as treatment progresses, we suggest using 2x weekly for 6-8 weeks to start with.

  • Are the results permanent?

Like a gym work out, the treatments will need to be continued, to see ongoing benefits. You can use it as regularly as you like.

  • Can I use it if I have sunburn?

Wait until your sunburn has fully recovered before using the RF Pro again.

  • How many minutes a day/week should I use it?

We suggest for the first 6 - 8 weeks you should use your RF Pro device every 3 - 4 days. After this time you can continue with frequency or drop down to once a week to 'top-up' your skin or 2 x weekly if you would like.

  • How long does each treatment take?

Between 20 - 30 minutes for a full face treatment.

  • Will it help me to tone my jawline?

Many of our testers experienced a toning and tightening of skin on the jawline.

  • Is Radio Frequency treatment suitable for all ethnicities of skin ?

In short - yes it is. Here is a quote taken from 'Tissue Tightening Technologies: Fact or Fiction' : Neil Sadick MD, Aesthetic Surgery Journal "Unlike laser and light energy, RF current is not scattered by tissue or absorbed by epidermal melanin. Patients of all skin types can therefore be treated, and considerable heat can be generated in the dermal layers to stimulate collagen contraction and neocollagenesis.

  • Can I use it on other areas of my body than my face?

Yes, hands are also a good treatment area, and other areas too. Be mindful that the head size is small and larger surface areas will take longer to treat.

  • How do I need to clean and store the device between uses?

After your treatment turn off your device and unplug it from the power supply. Wipe the head clean from any DermaDeep Serum with a soft dry cloth. Store your device anywhere convenient.

  • When is the best time of day to use it and where?

Anytime. You choose the time, and place (just not recommended in a bathroom or near water).

  • Will it be uncomfortable or hurt?

The DermaDeep RF Pro is a Unipolar technology, which means that the only sensation you should feel is warmth/heat. Bipolar technologies such as used in Tripollar devices will have a tingly sensation/mild discomfort, this is because with Bipolar the radio frequency goes from the positive to negative and at each point that the RF enters the body, there will be a sensation.
